In the summer, when the others have gone on vacation and I am in Brussels, it is my habit to take an artistic vacation. Free from any feeling or responsibility of coherence to my work. The vacations are designed to let out and express my own inner madness. But somehow I remain coherent, I guess there is no choice about that. This series of images are views of histological microscopic slides used in the diagnosis in the study of the microanatomy of cells, organs, tissues, blood, etc. Instead of viewing them as intended, I choose to look at the entire slide as if it was a thin slice of a strange thought, a fragment of madness, blissful madness where we forget the drudgeries and hardships of life.
